Hi! My name is Sophia.

I hold a Master of Arts in Counseling (MA) with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I graduated in 2022 from Adler University in Chicago, Illinois. I completed my internship in an Intensive Outpatient Program at a hospital and the first three years of my career have been spent working in community mental health. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC) certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors. I am currently a licensed professional counselor (LPC) working towards being a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC).

Working in community mental health has exposed me to the many unique experiences clients may be struggling with. I utilize various treatment models during sessions, most commonly cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and many others. I strive to create a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore their feelings and work toward healing and personal growth. I firmly believe that every person has the ability to make positive changes in their life and I am passionate about empowering clients to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives. A strong believer in the power of solutions, I often take a solution-focused approach to therapy, working collaboratively with clients to identify their strengths, set clear goals, and develop practical strategies to move forward.
