Jessica Lane,
Clinical Mental Health Therapist, ALMFT

My interest in the counseling field surfaced when I was in undergrad school and recognized that life experiences are systemic.  This led me to seek out my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy with the end goal of achieving my LMFT (licensed marriage and family therapy).  Through my own connections and life experiences, I learned that the challenges and situations some of my loved ones faced not only impacted them, but it impacted myself as well.

At the end of June 2020, I graduated with my Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Capella University.  In September 2020, I obtained my Associate License of Marriage and Family Therapy with the goal of accomplishing my second license by the end of 2022.  With roughly 8 years’ experience ranging from case management, mentoring, and professional services, I have worked with kids, youth, adults, couples, and families within the abuse and neglect court system, non-profit agency, and private practice. It is my goal to connect and join with clients by establishing a secure and safe therapeutic rapport.  In the past, I have completed trainings on trauma, EMDR, art, play, and sand. I feel it is crucial to tailor the services to the client, maximizing the efforts for their therapeutic success and accomplishments.  I stand in the perspective that the clients are the experts in their own lives as we function based on our experiences, situations, learned traits, and perspectives. It is my goal in services that I provide to help clients achieve their goals, heal, and take away confidence in the ability to regulate and manage potential situations.
